Besra “Equilibrium”
Terrifically dark Finnish progressive post-metal on new EP by Besra.
Besra is a Finnish progressive post-metal band which creates music that In Flames can only dream of accomplishing. The music on this exquisite four-track EP is heavy, dark, intense, complex and beautiful all at once. I love the somewhat darker turn the band has taken with this new material.
In addition to the fabulous title track, the EP also features the epic “An Omen of…”, the eye-opening “The Final Hour” and the heavy and haunting “End of the Horizon”. The song titles may indicate the end of the world is nigh. If so, this is an excellent soundtrack to the end of the world.
The band, which formed in 2015 and released its debut album “Anhedonia” in 2018, consists of Hannes Hietarinta (lead vocals, keyboards), Ville Kaisla (drums), Ville Kujansuu (guitar), Mika Mäkilaakso (guitar, keyboards), Johannes Nygård (guitar) and Pekko Seppälä (bass).
Besra’s EP “Equilibrium” will be released on 1st November via Suicide Records.
