Video | Enforcer’s Olof Wikstrand: “Everything was better in the 80s!”
“I love metal but I don’t like the 90s!” said Enforcer’s Olof Wikstrand in his second interview with Stefan Nilsson of Roppongi Rocks during the band’s recent fourth tour of Japan.
Well-known for his love for heavy metal the way it was played in the 1980s, Olof Wikstrand is carrying that legacy into the future. “We got to be honest here: everything was better in the 80s when it comes to music at least,” stated Olof.
Olof founded Enforcer in Arvika, Sweden in 2004. Over the years with a bunch of excellent albums and relentless global touring, the band has become well-known as part of a new wave of traditional heavy metal. The band debuted with “Into the Night” in 2008. Its most recent release was 2023’s “Nostalgia”. The band recently signed with Napalm Records. A new album is being worked on. Olof Wikstrand (guitar and vocals), his brother Jonas Wikstrand (drums), Jonathan Nordwall (guitar) and Garth Condit (bass) make up the current line-up of the band.
This interview was filmed in Koenji, Tokyo, Japan on 10th January 2025.
