Knotfest Japan postponed until 2023

Knotfest Japan, the major heavy metal festival founded by American band Slipknot, has once again been postponed due to the global pandemic. Originally planned to take place in 2020, it was postponed until January 2021 due to the pandemic. Then it got rescheduled to April 2022. Now Japanese promoter Hayashi International Promotions has announced that the two-day festival at Makuhari Messe in Chiba outside Tokyo will take place on 1st and 2nd April 2023. The previously announced April 2022 dates were seen as too risky considering the ever-changing rules around entry into Japan due to the ongoing pandemic. So far, only headliner Slipknot has been announced for the 2023 festival. Knotfest Japan was successfully held in 2014 and 2016.
