“It’s like a big camping trip for older men!” Mr Big vocalist Eric Martin sat down with Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson on the Mr Big tour bus backstage at the Skogsröjet festival.
In part 1 of the interview, filmed on 3rd August 2024, Eric Martin of Mr Big talks about “The Big Finish” tour (the band’s final tour), the dynamics between the band members, what the future may hold for the band, the challenges of playing festivals, and much more. Mr Big was formed in Los Angeles in 1988 by Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert and Pat Torpey. The band reached big success globally and has continued recording and touring on and off throughout the years. In 2018 Pat Torpey passed away. “Ten”, the band’s most recent album, was released in July 2024 and “The Big Finish” tour ended in Romania on 23rd August 2024.
