Exodus: Zetro out (again), Dukes in (again)
Exodus parts way with Zetro and welcomes Rob Dukes back.
Bay Area thrash metal legends Exodus have announced that the band has parted ways with vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza. Zetro has been the lead vocalist for Exodus at three different times: 1986-1993, 2002-2004 and 2014-2025. The band has replaced Zetro with Rob Dukes who previously fronted Exodus from 2005 until 2014. The band is working on the follow-up to its most recent studio album, 2021’s “Persona Non Grata”.
Exodus formed in 1979 in California and released its debut album “Bonded by Blood” in 1985. In the current line-up of the band, Dukes is joined by guitarists Gary Holt (Slayer) and Lee Altus (Heathen, Die Krupps), bassist Jack Gibson and founding member Tom Hunting on drums. Its original lead guitarist was Kirk Hammet who left in 1983 to join Metallica. Other former members of note include Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Testament) and John Tempesta (The Cult, Testament, White Zombie, Helmet).
