Wrong Way Back “Time Tells”
Stockholm’s Wrong Way Back shows us that there is still hope for catchy Swedish punk rock.
Wrong Way Back is a Swedish punk rock band from Stockholm. “Time Tells“ is the band’s debut five-track EP. It is overflowing with energy, attitude and catchy tunes. Musically this band lives in a back alley somewhere between Punk Rock Highway, Garage Rock Avenue and Skate Punk Gardens. The music is straightforward and very catchy. I specifically like the excellent basslines and the distinct vocals. They have great songs such as “Stockholm Syndrome”, “Why Be So Hateful?” and “Apple Pie”. There is quite a lot of variety crammed into this short EP. In these times of polished and watered-down culture, it is refreshing to listen to a band that does not have a problem using the word “fuck” in its lyrics. This excellent band consists of Klaudia Rodziewicz-Bielewicz on guitar and lead vocals, Felix Carlsson on guitar, William Fröberg on vocals and bass and Niki Hursti on drums. It is early days for this band but they are off to a great start with this EP. The right (wrong) attitude and catchy songs are among the things they have going for them. This band is catchy as fuck.
