After one of his recent Tokyo gigs, Mike Vescera and his band sat down with Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson for a chat. Watch the full interview below.
They talked about Mike Vescera’s long history with Japan, including fronting Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, going full circle by having two Alcatrazz members guesting with them on stage in Tokyo, having two “Live at Budokan” releases to his name (and the possibility of a third) and much more.
Billed as Mike Vescera’s Crash and Burn, the band consists of guitarist Jien Takahashi (Majustice, Violet Eternal), bassist Ollie Bernstein (Illusion Force) and drummer Yamato (Neu:NOIZ). At their Tokyo show as opening act for Warlord, they performed a great selection of songs from Mike’s career, including songs Mike originally recorded with Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen, Obsession and Animetal.
