Pontus Egberg met Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson on a beautiful spring day in Stockholm. They talked about how Pontus joined King Diamond in 2014, being part of a long line of Swedish musicians in the band, the work on the band’s new album, how the songwriting in the band works, Myrkur’s recent contributions, the band’s 40th anniversary and much more.
In addition to being a member of King Diamond, Pontus Egberg is a member of the bands Wolf and Dampf. His career has included playing with acts such as The Poodles, Treat, Ronnie Atkins, Lion’s Share, Kryptonite, Dark Illusion, Zan Clan, The Night Flight Orchestra and many more.
