KISS performs as a trio without Paul Stanley

KISS performed without Paul Stanley for only the second time in the band’s 43-year career on Friday night when Stanley at the last-minute had to cancel after tearing a bicep tendon.
Bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons, guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer went ahead and played a four-song set at the Beverly Hilton as a trio and did just fine. Stanley is expected to make a quick recovery and be back onstage within short. KISS will tour North America this summer with the Freedom To Rock Tour.
